Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a team and drive efficient manufacturing in Bengaluru. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, quality adherence, and continuous improvement in a high-precision tools environment.

Required are a relevant engineering degree, 5+ years in production management, and strong leadership with Kannada fluency. SAP knowledge and unionized workforce management are preferred. We offer extensive training and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry; total experience 15+ years preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Kannada; experience managing unionized workmen.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time and at optimised cost.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.
• Ensure production meets highest quality standards and specifications.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, including unionized workmen.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Address and resolve conflicts within the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Utilise lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimise resources.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including KPIs.

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in precision cutting tools and total experience should not be less than 15 years.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must know to speak fluent Kannada Experience in managing unionized workmen.
