Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd, part of the Plansee Group, is seeking a Production Manager in Karnataka (Attibele) to plan, coordinate, and lead manufacturing operations. The role focuses on delivering products on time, optimizing costs, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in production management in manufacturing, total experience not less than 15 years.
• Knowledge of SAP and lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent Kannada.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure on-time delivery at optimized cost.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust to meet demand.
• Ensure production meets highest quality standards and specifications.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff including unionized workers.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Address and resolve conflicts within the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize resources.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in precision cutting tools and total experience should not be less than 15 years.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must know to speak fluent Kannada
• Experience in managing unionized workmen.
