Job summary

Aditya Birla Group seeks a Manager Procurement & Warehouse to supervise purchase activities for materials and services (Capex and Opex), ensuring timely acquisition and high quality across operations.

You will negotiate contracts, evaluate suppliers, monitor market trends, and coordinate with finance and internal stakeholders to optimize procurement and inventory, while ensuring SOP compliance at the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain/purchase.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Multitasking and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with warehouse operations and SOPs is a plus.

• Oversee procurement activities for materials and services (Capex and Opex).

• Negotiate pricing, contracts and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and supply availability.
• Maintain records of POs, contracts and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and finance for budgeting.
• Inventory planning as per demand forecast from retail team.
• Visit warehouse to ensure SOP compliance, space and stock safety.

Position Purpose and Summary

The candidate will focus on overseeing the purchase activities for materials and services (Capex and Opex). As Manager Purchase, the person will be responsible for managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for our organization's operations. Role will involve collaborating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure the best value and quality for our purchases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement procurement strategies to meet the purchasing needs.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply availability to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and budget managers, to understand purchasing requirements and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with the finance team to ensure proper budget allocation and adherence to financial regulations.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
• Resolve any supplier-related issues, such as delivery delays, quality concerns, or contractual disputes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement to drive continuous improvement.
• Inventory Planning as per demand forecast from retail team.
• Frequently Visiting to warehouse to check SOP followed for documentation, Space and Safety of stock.

• Sourcing & Market Analysis:Must be proficient in monitoring and analyzing market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply availability.
• Negotiation & Supplier Relationship Management:Demonstrates exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers. Skilled in building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, conducting regular performance evaluations, and adeptly resolving issues to ensure compliance and drive long-term value.
• Commercial & Contractual Acumen:Possesses a strong understanding of procurement contracts, legal terms, and financial implications. Must be capable of managing the entire procurement lifecycle, from purchase order to payment, while ensuring adherence to budget constraints and financial regulations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Influence:Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal stakeholders, including department heads and finance teams. Must be skilled in understanding business needs, communicating procurement strategies, and influencing decisions to ensure alignment and achieve optimal purchasing outcomes.
• Analytical & Process Orientation:Employs a data-driven approach to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on key metrics like quality, cost, and reliability. Is meticulous in maintaining accurate records and documentation, with a focus on process efficiency and continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Person Profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply chain/ purchase with 7+ experience with strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and technologies
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
