Job summary

Krishna Jewellers Pearls & Gems Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement of jewellery items including gold, diamonds, silver and pearls. You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

The role requires strong jewellery product knowledge, ERP and Excel skills, and a track record of driving procurement performance in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of Jewellery Purchasing/Procurement/Inventory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Gold, Diamond, Silver, Pearl and precious stones.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of Gold, Diamond, Silver, Pearl and Jewellery products.
• Source products from approved vendors with focus on quality, pricing and on-time delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and purchase agreements to improve costs.
• Identify and develop strong supplier relationships and conduct vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate with vendors for new product development and exclusive collections.

The ideal candidate should possess strong jewellery product knowledge, vendor management expertise, negotiation skills, and inventory management capabilities to ensure the availability of quality products at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase & Procurement

• Manage end-to-end procurement of Gold, Diamond, Silver, Pearl, and Jewellery products.
• Source products from approved vendors while ensuring quality, pricing, and timely delivery.
• Identify new vendors and develop strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate product pricing, payment terms, and purchase agreements to achieve cost efficiencies.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct vendor evaluations based on quality, pricing, service, and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for new product development and exclusive collections.
• Resolve vendor-related issues, discrepancies, and supply challenges.

Product & Market Analysis

• Stay updated on jewellery market trends, gold and diamond rates, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.
• Recommend new product categories and collections based on market demand.
• Work closely with merchandising, sales, and operations teams to ensure product availability.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare purchase reports, vendor performance reports, and procurement analysis.
• Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders, invoices, and vendor agreements.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Jewellery Purchasing, Procurement, or Inventory Management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Preferable
• Strong understanding of Gold, Diamond, Silver, Pearl, and Precious Stone products.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Experience handling large vendor networks and inventory planning.
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
