Job summary

Hikvision India seeks an experienced Manager/Sr. Manager-Procurement to lead end-to-end procurement in a manufacturing environment. You will define policies, build and manage a vendor network, and ensure material availability while driving cost savings and supplier performance.

The role requires a strong track record in large-scale procurement, strategic planning, and leadership within electronics manufacturing or EMS sectors. Location is Vasai, Maharashtra, India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with MBA in Supply Chain Management will be considered as an advantage.
• 17–21 years of experience in managing large-scale or high-volume procurement within the manufacturing sector.
• 6–8 years in managerial or leadership positions.
• Preference given to candidates with consumer electronics or EMS backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Procurement policy and plan.
• Develop and manage vendor network; negotiate contracts, prices, quality, timelines.
• Forecast and plan business requirements for procurement items.

Experience:

The candidate should possess 17 to 21 years of extensive experience in managing large-scale or high-volume procurement within the manufacturing sector, including 6 to 8 years in managerial or leadership positions. Preference will be given to those with a background in the consumer electronics or electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industries.

Job Description:

Defining & Executing Procurement Policy & Plan

• Review current processes, define, and implement Procurement policy & process to meet the companys objective.
• Observe & maintain the policy in adherence to the industry standards.

Developing & Managing Vendor Network

• Development of new vendors for components & products.
• Managing vendor relations and negotiating contracts, prices, quality, timelines etc.
• Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
• Monitoring, evaluating & improving vendor performances.
• Identify and develop various vendor relationships as per the sourcing requirement.
• Engage & finalize vendors as per the company’s policy within the defined budget and ensuring agreement is signed off by the vendor and concerned person.
• Identify, engage and maintain back up of vendor for each critical procurement item.
• Plan and execute vendor visits and audit as per schedule and business requirement.

Material Procurement (Material Availability)

• Design, plan and implement Procurement / Purchasing strategy.
• Forecast and plan business requirements for each procurement items.
• Timely approval of POs as per defined TAT in order to maintain the lead-time.
• Monitor, plan and ensure all the materials are available as per defined lead-time.
• Monitoring and ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor and ensure zero % rejection of all the procured items.
• Analyze market and delivery trends so as to develop procurement technologies and processes that support those trends.
• Review, analyse and ensure timely closures of CAPA reports within defined timeframe.

Managing Cost Efficiency:

• Identify cost savings for the company and negotiate to get healthy margins and payment terms.
• Plan, manage & ensure that there is a direct and indirect savings.
• Perform cost analysis and benchmarking.
• Control expenses and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

Being vigilant with stock movement and review the stock audit report to avoid any sudden operational challenges.

Managing Company’s Brand Promise:

• Develop and nurture relationship on the basis of ethics and fairness.

Procure any goods or materials strictly on the basis of defined process.

Managing & Retaining Talent

• Designing & implementation of Key Performance Indicators and improve performance in alignment with established goals.
• Monitor and ensure timely KPI review of all team members as per defined timeline and set parameters.
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing Procurement team that meets company’s objective and delivers best practice results.

To ensure skill improvement of Team by planning effective training.

MIS Reports & Documentation:

• Ensuring timely verification and checking of Mathadi bills / invoices as per set procedure and forwarding the same to the Accounts Team for further payment processing.
• Maintaining the supplier / Vendor database, procurement / purchase records, and related documentation.
• Monitor and review the monthly & quarterly reports and provide POA for further improvement to the Management.
