Job summary

VIKRAN Engineering Ltd. in Thane, Mumbai, seeks an experienced Manager – Procurement (International) to lead global sourcing for transmission line, power distribution, EHV substation and solar projects.

You will own end-to-end international procurement, build supplier networks and drive cost-effective sourcing while ensuring compliance with project timelines. The role requires 6–12 years in procurement, strong negotiation and contract management, and knowledge of Incoterms, import documentation

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience in procurement, preferably in power T&D, EPC or solar projects.

Job Role: Manager – Procurement (International)

Job Location: Thane, Mumbai

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Procurement with expertise in international procurement, strategic sourcing and vendor management for transmission line, power distribution, EHV substation and solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end international procurement of electrical equipment and project materials.

Develop global suppliers and identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.

Handle procurement of transmission towers, conductors, OPGW, insulators, cables, transformers, switchgear, EHV equipment, solar modules, inverters, and related accessories.

Conduct techno-commercial evaluations, price negotiations, and contract finalization.

Manage import documentation, Incoterms, freight, customs clearance, and international payment terms.

Coordinate with engineering, project, quality, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.

Monitor supplier performance, procurement budgets, lead times, and quality standards.

Drive cost optimization while ensuring compliance with project specifications and delivery schedules.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, MBA in Supply Chain/Procurement is an added advantage.

6–12 years of experience in procurement, preferably in power T&D, EHV, EPC or solar projects.

Strong experience in international sourcing, import procurement and global vendor management.

Excellent negotiation, commercial evaluation, contract management and cost-control skills.

Knowledge of international trade, logistics, and ERP/SAP procurement modules.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in international procurement for power transmission lines, distribution networks, EHV substations and solar projects, with a strong focus on cost optimization, supplier development and timely project execution.
