Job summary

Sami Sabinsa Group in Bengaluru seeks a production planning professional to develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with sales orders and forecasts. You will coordinate with production, procurement, QA/QC, and stores to ensure timely execution and uninterrupted supply of materials and finished goods.

You will monitor capacity, manpower, and machine utilization, track progress against schedules, and drive improvements to reduce delays and optimize resources.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales orders, forecasts, and business requirements.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, stores, QA, and QC departments to ensure smooth execution of production schedules.
• Monitor raw material, packing material, and finished goods availability to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Ensure effective capacity planning, manpower utilization, and machine loading based on production requirements.
• Monitor production progress against planned schedules and take corrective actions to minimize delays.
• Prepare and monitor production schedules in coordination with respective department heads.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Monitor material consumption, stock movement, and inventory accuracy to avoid excess and shortage of materials.
• Coordinate with the purchase team for timely procurement of raw materials and packing materials.
• Monitor production lead time, order fulfilment, and on-time delivery performance.
• Analyse production deviations, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints and implement improvement measures.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports related to production planning, inventory status, material requirements, and production performance.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procedures, GMP, and applicable quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency, reduce inventory costs, and optimize resource utilization.
