Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a Production Planning & Scheduling professional to translate demand into daily and weekly production plans, balancing capacity and resources.

The role requires coordinating MRP/WO releases, material readiness, inventory control, stores operations, and KPI monitoring to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily / weekly production plans based on customer demand and available capacity.
• Run MRP, generate purchase requisitions, and release work orders without delay.
• Balance SMT lines, assembly, testing capacity and manpower to meet output targets.
• Ensure 100% material readiness before line start to avoid line stoppage.
• Control RM, WIP, and FG inventory levels; avoid excess, shortage, and obsolete stock.
• Manage inward inspection coordination, proper storage (FIFO/FEFO), binning, and traceability.
• Track daily shortages and coordinate with procurement for expediting critical parts.
• Ensure on-time dispatch as per committed delivery schedule.
• Maintain accurate system transactions (GRN, issue, return, stock reconciliation).
• Continuous Improvement & KPI MonitoringMonitor OTD, inventory turnover, plan vs actual, and implement improvements to reduce lead time and waste.
