Job summary

Skintl Enterprises in Chennai is seeking a Production Planner to translate customer requirements, forecasts, and capacity into executable plans.

You will coordinate across departments, maintain ERP/MRP data, monitor stock levels, and drive on-time delivery while solving capacity bottlenecks. Strong Excel/MIS reporting and decision-making ability are essential to succeed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage production plans based on customer requirements, sales forecasts, and available capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Engineering, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and monitor actual performance against the plan.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging materials as per production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, RM/WIP/FG stock, and identify shortages or excess inventory.
• Follow up with the Purchase and Stores teams for timely material availability.
• Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks, delays, and capacity constraints.
• Monitor customer delivery schedules and ensure on-time completion and dispatch.
• Good knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain coordination.
• Good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Strong skills in MS Excel and MIS reporting.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery schedules.
• Strong ownership and decision-making ability.
