Job summary

The Whole Truth in Mumbai, India, is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan and execute daily production schedules, monitor lines, and ensure targets are met within shift timings.

You will manage manpower, monitor efficiency and OEE, ensure GMP/HACCP compliance, maintain batch records, and drive continuous improvement across QA, maintenance, and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Production planning and execution as per the daily production schedule.
• Manpower planning, allocation, and effective utilization.
• Monitor production lines and ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Ensure daily production targets are achieved within planned shift timings.
• Monitor line efficiency, productivity, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Monitor machine performance and ensure optimum operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper batch documentation, BMR completion, and production records.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor production and machine-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, PRP, OPRP, CCP, food safety, quality, safety, and hygiene requirements.
• Understand and monitor HACCP plans, food safety hazards, control measures, critical limits, monitoring, and corrective actions.
• Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of PRPs (Prerequisite Programs) such as hygiene, sanitation, pest control, personal hygiene, and housekeeping.
• Monitor OPRPs (Operational Prerequisite Programs) and ensure defined operational controls are followed and recorded.
• Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points) as per the HACCP plan and ensure critical limits are maintained, monitored, and documented.
• Ensure proper escalation and corrective action in case of CCP deviation, OPRP failure, or food safety non-conformance.
• Support internal audits, food safety audits, GMP audits, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct physical stock audits and ensure accurate raw material and packaging material inventory.
• Perform regular FG stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Monitor and control production wastage, process losses, and downtime.
• Identify opportunities for reducing wastage and improving process efficiency.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments for smooth production operations.
• Maintain production area quality, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
• Monitor production losses, downtime, and process deviations and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain daily production, shift, manpower, efficiency, and performance reports.
• Ensure proper shift handover and communicate pending activities, issues, and production status.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, food safety, and cost effectiveness.
