Job summary

Dawn India is seeking a seasoned General Manager/Manager- Warehouse Operations to lead large-format, multi-client warehouses across diversified sectors in India. You will own end-to-end operations, drive cost efficiency, and shape innovative supply chain solutions from design to go-live, while building strong relationships with enterprise clients.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in contract logistics, with a proven track record in binding teams across multiple sites and delivering KPI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, contract logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Proven experience managing large-format, multi-client warehouses (1 lakh+ sq. ft.).
• Strong background across cold chain, FMCG, consumer durables, retail, and pharma/healthcare.
• Demonstrated success in warehouse setup and implementation, from solution design through go-live.
• Experience in business development and solution design for contract logistics clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving productivity and cost improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and team leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of large, multi-temperature warehouses and fulfilment centres.
• Own inbound, outbound, order fulfilment, inventory, and last-mile coordination.
• Drive KPI governance including OTD/OTA, picking accuracy, UPH, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
• Support BD through opportunity assessment, solution design, and proposals for 3PL clients.
• Lead greenfield warehouse implementations from proposal to go-live and stabilization.
• Ensure safety, quality, FEFO in temperature-controlled environments.
• Build strong relationships with enterprise clients across sectors and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Lead large distributed teams across sites; coach and review performance.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned General Manager/Manager- Warehouse Operations leader with a strong track record across India's leading 3PL and logistics organizations. The ideal candidate has led multi-client, multi-sector warehouse operations including , cold chain, Pharma, FMCG, and consumer durables and has hands-on experience driving business development, solution design, and greenfield warehouse implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Operations Management

• Lead end-to-end operations of large-format, multi-temperature warehouses and fulfilment centres.
• Own operational excellence across inbound, outbound, order fulfilment, inventory management, and last-mile coordination.
• Manage warehouse P&L, manpower planning, vendor performance, and billing coordination.
• Drive KPI governance OTD/OTA, picking accuracy, UPH/productivity, inventory accuracy, and customer service levels.

Business Development & Solution Design

• Support business development through opportunity assessment, solution design, and commercial proposal creation for prospective 3PL clients.
• Design warehouse layouts, process flows, manpower models, and cost-effective supply chain solutions.
• Lead end-to-end greenfield warehouse implementation from proposal and infrastructure readiness to SOP development, go-live, and stabilization.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and quality standards (including FSSAI for food/cold chain operations where applicable).
• Maintain warehouse hygiene, food safety, and FEFO compliance in temperature-controlled environments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build and manage strong relationships with enterprise clients across sectors such as e-commerce, retail, healthcare, FMCG, D2C, and renewable energy.
• Lead customer reviews, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, HR, planning, and security teams.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention through consistent service delivery.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop large, distributed workforces (100+ employees) across multiple sites.
• Drive operational discipline, productivity, and performance management through coaching and structured reviews.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, contract logistics, and warehouse operations.
