Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations to ensure timely receiving and dispatch.
• Drive first-mile and pickup operations to move goods from origin to hubs.
• Plan daily vehicle deployment and routes based on order volumes.

• Monitor inventory accuracy and warehouse productivity.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring timely receiving, storage, picking, dispatch and delivery.
• Drive first-mile and pickup operations, ensuring smooth movement of goods from origin locations to hubs/warehouses.
• Plan daily vehicle deployment, routes and transportation capacity based on order volumes and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with 3PL partners, transporters and carriers to ensure on-time dispatch, delivery and service-level adherence.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, space utilization and warehouse productivity.
• Track key logistics metrics including OTIF, fill rate, TAT, freight cost/unit, productivity and SLA performance.
• Use WMS/TMS and operational data to monitor shipments, identify bottlenecks and improve execution.
• Identify operational issues and drive RCA, corrective actions and process improvements to improve productivity and reduce logistics costs.
• Manage daily escalations and resolve unforeseen warehouse, transportation and delivery issues under time-sensitive conditions.
• Ensure adherence to OHS, transport documentation, statutory and ISO requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to meet daily business requirements.
• Supervise warehouse/transport teams and 3PL personnel, ensuring strong ground-level execution and operational discipline.

Preferred candidate profile

• 23 years of hands-on experience in Logistics, Warehouse or Transportation Operations.
• Candidates from E-commerce, Quick Commerce, D2C, 3PL, logistics or digital commerce are preferred.
• Strong exposure to First Mile / Pickup Operations is highly preferred.
• Should have hands‑on experience in warehouse and transportation execution, rather than purely planning/analytics roles.
• Working knowledge of WMS and TMS is preferred.
• Experience in 3PL, transporter, carrier and vendor management.
• Good understanding of route planning, vehicle planning, fleet coordination, shipment tracking and hub operations.
• Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of Excel, operational dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Comfortable working with SLA, OTIF, fill rate, TAT, freight cost and productivity metrics.
