About the Role

The Senior Warehouse Manager will be responsible for setting up and managing the entire end-to-end operations of a warehouse on behalf of our client. The manager will set up optimal processes and practices to ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly to provide timely dispatch to our client and accurate visibility into stock levels. This role will report directly to the head of the 3PL division and will involve regular interaction with the group directors.

Responsibilities

• Set up of warehouse including infrastructure, manpower, security, IT and compliance from scratch
• Manage all warehouse human resources optimally including setting up of reporting structure, identification of roles and responsibilities, training and development
• Ensure effective utilization of warehouse areas and observe proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of items to maintain the quality of finished goods
• Prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of pilferage, accidents and occupational hazards
• Maintain the highest standards of customer service by immediately attending and resolving customer issues on product preparation before dispatch
• Manage customs bonding procedure and other relevant compliance requirements
• Ensure accuracy of product inventories against system records by conducting cycle counts on a periodic basis following appropriate guidelines
• Prepare and monitor budgets according to plan and ensure maximum utilization of logistics resources
• Develop and effectively implement warehouse and inventory monitoring systems
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to client and leadership on inventory levels, P&L, and issue resolution

Requirements

• Experience in warehouse management, logistics, or 3PL
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and their implementation
• Experience dealing with customs agents
• Prior experience with a bonded warehouse is a plus
• Self-starter who can set up operations and workflows with minimal oversight
• Ability to bring in additional warehousing / 3PL business is a plus
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools like Word and ExcelAbility to manage the P&L of the warehouse operation
• Experience managing a team of approximately 40 people (direct and indirect)
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree; education in logistics or 3PL field is a plus
• 5+ years of experience at a managerial level
