Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance in Angul, Odisha seeks a Manager - Open Market Agency with 1-4 years of experience. The role focuses on identifying and enrolling potential agents, activating certified agents through timely premium mobilization, and ensuring agents are familiar with products and sales processes.

You will set premium targets with agents, monitor dormancy, strengthen agent relationships and drive continuous agent knowledge updates across products and underwriting policies.

Qualifications

• Identify and motivate potential candidates to enroll for becoming agents
• Activate certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium in stipulated time
• Ensure familiarization of the company’s products, policies and sales processes to the agents
• Identify, communicate and agree on the premium targets with agents on various class of business
• Ensure lower dormancy ratio of active vs total agents
• Maximize mobilisation through regular follow-ups and strengthening of relationships with agents
• Ensure constant updating of agent’s knowledge on new products and underwriting policies
• Troubleshooting with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance teams for policy issuance and timely commission disbursement
