Pradeep Metals in India seeks an experienced HR leader to shape the HR strategy for a greenfield plant in the Butibori/Nagpur area. You will drive recruitment from managerial to shop-floor roles, oversee onboarding, induction and end-to-end employee lifecycle management while ensuring payroll and statutory compliance.

The role demands 12–15 years in manufacturing HR, exposure to defence projects preferred, and strong leadership with excellent communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and LLB preferred.
  • 12–15 years of experience in manufacturing HR.
  • Experience with greenfield projects and defence sector exposure preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ISMS 27001:2022 and information security governance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the HR strategy for the plant and organization.

Job description

Role & responsibilities
  • Develop the HR strategy
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition :-
    Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, induction.
    Lead recruitment of managerial, engineering, supervisory, skilled, semi-skilled and support personnel.
    Build a talent pipeline for critical technical positions in Forging, CNC machining, tool & die, maintenance, quality and production.
    Background verification and other pre-employment screening, Pre-employment medicalcheck-up as per Company Policies.
    Establish relationships / tie-ups with engineering institutes, ITIs, polytechnics and technical recruitment agencies.
    Develop induction and Manage end
  • -to-end HR operations, including employee lifecycle management, onboarding, transfers, promotions, and exits. HR Operations & Systems :-
    Implement HRIS, payroll, attendance, leave and employee-data management systems.
    Ensure timely PF/ESIC monthly challan payments, MLWB compliance, and as applicable with relavant labour laws.
    Manage annual bonus calculations and statutory/organisational requirements.
    Calculate and process gratuity payments upon employee separation.
    Establish HR dashboards and MIS covering manpower, absenteeism, attrition, recruitment, training, overtime and productivity.
    Manage employee lifecycle, transfers, promotions, and exits.
    Coordinate and support internal and external HR/statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
    Prepare the MIS as per top managements requirement. Training & Development :-
    Conduct skill-gap and training-needs analysis (TNI)
    Develop and implement annual technical, functional, behavioural, and compliance training programmes.
    Establish structured training for operators, technicians, supervisors and engineers.
    Monitor training effectiveness through feedback and training evaluation.
    Prepare and maintain comprehensive training records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations :-
    Establish positive employee and workforce relations from the beginning of plant operations.
    Manage contract labour and outsourced manpower.
    Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, absenteeism and employee welfare. Statutory Compliance :-
    Lead and coordinate HR and labour-related statutory registrations, licences, approvals, and compliances required for establishing and commencing operations of the Greenfield Plant, including registration under applicable labour, employment, social-security, factory, contract labour, shops & establishment, and other applicable laws.
    Maintain statutory registers, licences, returns, records, and other required documentation.
    Ensure compliance relating to wages, working hours, social security, contract labour, employee welfare, safety, and employment records.
    Coordinate with government authorities, DISH Dept / Labour departments, inspectors, and other regulatory bodies as required.
    Possess sound knowledge of Defence and Ordnance Factory-related statutory compliances, rules, regulations, and labour requirements, wherever applicable to the organisation.
    Ensure timely completion and submission of statutory returns and compliance documentation. Plant & Employee Insurance Management :-
    Manage and coordinate Plant Insurance policies, including renewal, documentation, coverage review, and coordination with insurance providers.
    Administer Employee Insurance programs such as Group Mediclaim, Personal Accident, and other employee-related insurance benefits.
    Handle employee insurance claims end-to-end, including claim intimation, documentation, coordination with employees, hospitals, TPAs/insurance companies, and timely claim settlement.
    Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, employee enrollments, additions/deletions, claims, settlements, and pending cases.
    Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding insurance benefits, policy coverage, claim procedures, and claim-related queries. Plant Administration :-
    Establish administration systems for the new plant, including transport, canteen, development of garden, housekeeping, security, uniforms / PPE coordination, welfare facilities and employee amenities.
    Coordinate with security agencies for plant access and visitor management.
    Support project and plant teams during commissioning and start-up activities.
    Develop emergency and crisis-management procedures in coordination with EHS and security teams Should have knowledge of AS 9100 D, FOD, Counterfeit documentation & part awareness , Product Safety This tentative JD's enclosed herewith, however if any additional responsibility from your reporting officer / mgmt will be the part of this Job description Housekeeping TPM, 5\"S\", ISMS is the additional role and responsibilities apart from regular job Need to adhere strictly time management, HR Policies and rules's set by organisation time-to-time Understands Information security governance & ability to identify , assess, and mitigate information security risk. Should have knowledge of ISMS 27001:2022.
Preferred candidate profile

1) Bachelors degree in Human Resources, or related field + LLB (Preferred) MBA / MPM/ PG Diploma in Human Resources Minimum 12 to 15 Years 1) Minimum 810 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setup, preferably within the engineering industry.

2)Candidates with prior experience in handling Greenfield Projects and those who have previously worked in or around Nagpur / Butibori MIDC will be given an added advantage during the selection process.

3) Exposure to the Defence Industry / Defence manufacturing sector will be preferred; however, it is not a mandatory requirement.
