Job summary

H R Creations in Jamnagar seeks an experienced Plant HR Manager to lead HR & Admin functions at the Jamnagar Plant and its branch. You will guide the HR team and oversee talent acquisition, payroll, and policies.

You will coordinate recruitment, issue letters, manage inductions, maintain job descriptions and skill matrices, run training calendars, and ensure compliance with Labour Laws and Factory Act. Strong leadership and stakeholder liaison are essential.

Qualifications

  • Oversee HR & Admin at Jamnagar Plant and Branch Office.
  • Guide HR team at the Jamnagar Plant.
  • Lead recruitment, payroll, and policy implementation.
  • Manage inductions, letters, job descriptions, and skill matrices.
  • Coordinate training calendars and ensure training execution.
  • Control labour costs and maintain payroll records.
  • Ensure legal compliance under Labour Laws / Factory Act.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control HR & Admin functions at the Jamnagar Plant and Branch Office, besides guiding the HR team at the Jamnagar Plant.
  • Control and guide team members for talent acquisition and payroll activities.
  • Monitor recruitment & selection activities, including application collection, shortlisting, interview coordination, facilitating candidates and interviewers, follow-up with consultants, HODs and candidates, salary negotiations, etc.
  • Issue offer letters and appointment letters to new joinees.
  • Prepare induction schedules, coordinate induction activities and review induction reports collected from new joinees.
  • Prepare and update Job Descriptions (JDs) in coordination with departmental HODs for each position as mentioned in the company's organisation chart.
  • Prepare and maintain an updated Skill Matrix in coordination with HODs.
  • Prepare the Training Calendar in coordination with departmental HODs as per TNI.
  • Ensure implementation of training activities as per the training calendar.
  • Maintain labour cost within the allocated budget.
  • Ensure wages & salary records are prepared on time.
  • Prepare or update HR policies.
  • Control Canteen Management.
  • Monitor and control HR legal documents/records as per Labour Laws / Factory Act requirements.
  • Ensure employees' personal files are maintained and updated.
  • Manage, coordinate and control labour and security guard contractors while ensuring their services as per company requirements.
  • Maintain discipline in the plant and initiate disciplinary actions, if necessary.
  • Ensure manpower availability as per company requirements.
  • Understand employee grievances and respond on time in case of any issue.
  • Liaise with government departments and consultants related to HRD matters.
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting authority and the Director from time to time.

Preferred candidate profile
  • Educational Qualification: MBA (HR) / MSW or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience. Relaxation of up to 2 years may be given at the discretion of the COO/Director.
  • Candidates from the same or similar industries will be preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in plant HR / manufacturing environments are preferred.
  • Candidates should be comfortable handling HR functions at plant level.
  • Strong experience in manpower handling, recruitment, payroll, compliance, employee relations and HR operations is expected.
  • Male or Female candidates may apply; male candidates will be preferred.
