Job summary

Saur Energy International in India is seeking a DC Design Engineer to lead the design and optimization of solar PV DC systems, ensuring maximum energy yield and safety.

You will perform shading and tilt analyses, size DC strings and cables, review layouts, and define technical specs while coordinating with the project team. A strong background in electrical engineering and proficiency with AutoCAD and PVsyst is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• DC System Design & Optimization to maximize energy yield and minimize losses.
• Perform shading analysis, tilt/orientation optimization, and land utilization planning.
• DC design calculations including voltage window, string sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, and losses.
• Define DC design guidelines, best practices, and technical specifications.
• Review and approve drawings such as layouts, SLDs, and cable routing plans.
• Evaluate PV modules, DC cables, connectors, and combiner boxes.

Job Responsibility

• DC System Design & Optimization & Optimize designs for maximum energy yield and minimal losses.
• Perform shading analysis, tilt/orientation optimization, and land utilization planning
• Conduct DC design calculations like voltage window and string sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, and losses etc.
• Define DC design guidelines, best practices, and technical specifications

Qualification & Certification Required
