Job summary

Zetwerk in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Solar Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design, sizing, and documentation for utility-scale and commercial/industrial solar projects.

You will develop complete electrical systems, perform energy yield analyses, and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of Solar Electrical Design experience.
• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, PVsyst and SketchUp software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review solar plant designs, layouts, SLDs, GA drawings, shadow analysis, capacity optimization, and site feasibility reports for utility-scale and C&I solar projects.
• Design electrical systems, including DC, LT & HT networks, AC/DC cable sizing, earthing, SCADA architecture, and drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform PV system configuration, equipment sizing, technology selection, and energy yield analysis using PVsyst and SketchUp to optimize plant performance.
• Develop BOM/BOQ, equipment specs, costing sheets, vendor drawings, and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Conduct sizing, cable, earthing, and generation calculations per applicable codes and customer specs.
• Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and project teams to review offers and resolve design issues.
• Collaborate with BD and Proposals to prepare technical solutions and bid documentation within timelines.
• Evaluate customer requirements to optimize layouts and configurations for maximum efficiency and cost optimization.
• Ensure timely preparation and validation of electrical BOQs and engineering deliverables.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors, procurement, project execution, and cross-functional teams to review technical offers, resolve design issues, and support project execution.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Proposal teams to prepare technical solutions, customer proposals, and bid documentation within project timelines.
• Evaluate customer requirements and optimize plant layouts, equipment selection, and system configurations to achieve maximum efficiency and cost optimization.
• Ensure timely preparation and validation of electrical BOQs, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables while supporting installation methodologies and project execution.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

• 8 12 years of Solar Electrical Design experience
• B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical or Electronics Communications Engineering
