Job summary

Avaada Energy is seeking a DC Engineer to lead the design and optimization of DC systems for efficient solar plants. You will develop optimized plant layouts, set design standards, and guide a team of engineers and draftsmen to ensure smooth integration with AC systems.

Responsibilities include creating DC design guidelines, reviewing layouts and cabling plans, and evaluating modules and components to minimize losses while maximizing energy yield.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in solar PV DC system design.
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD and PVsyst.
• Knowledge of earthing, lightning protection, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• DC System Design & Optimization for maximum energy yield and minimal losses.
• Perform shading analysis and tilt/orientation optimization.
• Conduct DC design calculations like voltage window, string sizing, cable sizing and voltage drop.
• Define DC design guidelines, best practices, and technical specifications.
• Review and approve drawings such as layouts, SLDs, and cable routing plans.
• Evaluate PV modules, DC cables, connectors, and combiner boxes.

Responsibility for DC engineering, including PV module layout, string design, DC cabling, and optimization to ensure maximum energy yield, safety, and cost efficiency.

Job Role:

It includes developing optimized plant layouts, defining design standards, leading a team of engineers and draftsmen, and ensuring seamless integration with AC systems and overall plant design.
