Job description

  • Ability to understand GMR business policies and procedures and identify the areas for control/monitoring mechanisms.
  • Strong knowledge of frauds and trends with legal implications. Adopt and monitor industry best practices.
  • Capability to conduct/support/assist financial / Anti Corruption investigations in a cost-effective manner to identify fraud risks in systems/processes and suggest suitable plans to mitigate risks or minimize exposure.
  • Proven ability to present data and findings in an effective and convincing manner.
  • Demonstrated skill to identify and establish relationships with external and internal agencies related to any investigation. Ability to obtain information from external sources.
  • To contribute towards strengthening oft of Ethical culture of the organization , identify system lapses and revenue leakages, and identify financial and ethical wrongdoings.

Organisation Chart

This position will report to Head (Investigation- GPUIL) E&I and will be based out of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh

Key Accountabilities
  • Conducting investigation of the cases assigned to the individual by the Head (Investigations) GPUIL.
  • Nos and TAT
  • Identification of controls gaps, Bribery, Corruption and financial irregularities. Leading E&I team to identify and take up investigations

  • Provide support and guidance to prepare detailed reports to management, recommending action plans and practical policy changes wherever required, supported by data and conclusive evidence. Liaise with management team, HR team, MAG and SLT team for implementing actions as suggested in the reports on a case-to-case basis.

  • Collection of relevant data and conducting data analysis and reporting anomalies post investigations. Co-ordinate with various Dept Heads for collating relevant data and reports required for conducting Management Support investigations. Planning, coordinating, and conducting investigation based on intelligence inputs/concerns raised through the WB Policy or Suo-moto intelligence network.

  • Pro-active initiatives to alert the management on possible leakage of revenues, wastages or misuse of resources or on employee misconduct or wrongdoing or other violations by way of raising System Improvements & Alert notes and ensuring appropriate action is taken by the management as per recommendations post detailed enquiries.

  • Support E&I team across all GMR businesses (Group wide) for collecting vital intelligence as part of investigation requirements in a cost-effective manner. Maximize savings.

  • Ensure mitigation of risks by conducting Fraud Risk Assessments and Data Analytics

  • Conduct training sessions across businesses ,collect feedback to help in building and improving "Ethical Culture" of GMR Nos. group.
EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS
  • Liaison with various agencies to collect/access records and other relevant data during investigation.
  • Liaison with various other agencies for coordination and collect relevant information for supporting investigations
  • Liaison and meet various vendors to collect intelligence.
  • Maintaining contacts with various business consultants and industry experts across other businesses for identifying best practices and industry trends
INTERNAL INTERACTIONS
  • Meetings with HODs to co-ordinate data collection, investigations and reporting with logical closure of cases and implementing recommendations.
  • Employee engagement to gather - intelligence, process gaps, dept. internal information and to discuss possible improvements across the group.
  • Meeting and Coordinating with MAG/HR for various support activities and data collection, as well tracking redflags raised and other issues.
  • Improving the Ethics awareness culture across the group by conducting various activities, surveys, training sessions and collating feedback to improve team member skills and visibility of E&I across the group.
FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

Preparation and supporting E&I team for annual AOP in accordance with GCS requirements.

Co-ordinate with various financial teams to incorporate E&I budget, take up necessary capex purchases as per process.

Collecting intelligence and monitoring the "Consultancy" budget as per AOP. Ensuring cost effective measures are adopted to maintain due transparency in audit trails.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Essential: Graduate
  • Preferred - MBA/CA /ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner/ Law
  • Strong knowledge with relevant experience in Fraud Control/ Anticorruption
  • Basic knowledge of business and commerce
  • Strong ability in MS word, Excel & PowerPoint (MS Office)
  • Working experience in AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, etc) SAP knowledge will be preferred.
  • Command over English.
Relevant Experience
  • Relevant Work Experience with minimum 7-10 years.
  • Should have handled independent investigation of Anti Corruption /financial frauds and other corporate frauds.
  • Possess relevant experience and worked with investigation agencies, banks, insurance, telecom sectors or corporates.
