SHRI MAHAVIR FERRO ALLOYS PRIVATE LIMITED, through Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Manager for DRI plant operations at Kalunga, Odisha. The role focuses on shift maintenance, breakdown handling, preventive maintenance, and ensuring high equipment availability.

You will lead maintenance activities, coordinate technicians, and manage spares; ensure safety, IMS and EHS compliance, and maintain maintenance logs in ERP.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in DRI/Sponge Iron plant maintenance.
• Experience as Mechanical Shift In-charge or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shift maintenance of plant equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Attend breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate shift handovers and corrective actions.
• Maintain mechanical logbooks and daily maintenance reports.
• Plan manpower and spares per PM and shutdown schedules.

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance professional for our DRI Plant operations at Kalunga, Odisha. The candidate will be responsible for shift maintenance activities, breakdown handling, preventive maintenance, manpower coordination, and ensuring smooth plant operations with high equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Maintenance

• Ensure smooth running of plant equipment during shift operations
• Attend breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime
• Coordinate shift handover activities and corrective actions
• Maintain mechanical logbooks and daily maintenance reports
• Plan manpower and spares as per preventive maintenance and shutdown schedules
• Ensure availability of critical maintenance spares

Preventive Maintenance

• Ensure completion of scheduled preventive maintenance activities
• Verify CLTI (Cleaning, Lubrication, Tightening & Inspection) check sheets
• Raise maintenance notifications in ERP system for abnormalities
• Support reliability improvement and root cause analysis activities
• Ensure closure of corrective and preventive actions for major breakdowns

Team Management

• Coordinate and guide maintenance technicians during shifts
• Conduct toolbox talks and technical training for maintenance teams
• Ensure optimum manpower utilization during maintenance activities

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and PPE usage
• Follow IMS and EHS guidelines during maintenance activities
• Ensure work permits and safety procedures are followed for all jobs
• Promote near-miss reporting and safe work practices

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of DRI plant mechanical maintenance
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience in breakdown and preventive maintenance
• Team handling and coordination skills
• Knowledge of kiln and plant equipment maintenance
• Familiarity with ERP-based maintenance systems
