Job summary

Apollo Hospitals in India seeks a Deputy Manager/Manager (Head - Housekeeping) to lead hospital housekeeping operations, linen and laundry, and vendor management. The role demands overseeing cleanliness, staff training, and ensuring patient satisfaction through high standards of hygiene and service.

The incumbent will plan staffing, monitor budgets, and maintain compliance with safety and quality policies, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional facility

Qualifications

Graduate in Hotel Management or equivalent.
6-8 years of experience in managing housekeeping/Facilities Management.
Proficiency in English and Hindi.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for aesthetics and a well kept hospital.
Enhance patient and attendant experience at the hospital.
Correspond with internal and external customers effectively.
Serve as the single point of contact and resolve patient concerns.
Evaluate patient feedback to improve customer experience.
Maintain high motivation and performance of housekeeping staff and GDAs.
Plan and monitor deployment of housekeeping staff and GDAs.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards across the premises.
Ensure grooming and hygiene standards of all staff.
Manage linen, uniforms, and other non-medical supplies inventory.
Maintain linen/uniform standards and compliance with hygiene rules.
Provide training to housekeeping staff and GDAs.
Prepare budgets for the HK department and track expenses.

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver set standards of cleanliness and upkeep, In-charge for Linen and Laundry

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To be responsible for aesthetics and a well kept Hospital
To be responsible for enhancing the Patient, Attendants experience at the Hospital
Ability to correspond and communicate with both Internal & External customers
To be the one point contact and be able to attend and resolve Patient concerns and issues.
Ability to evaluate and analyze Customer preference and feedback and guide efforts towards enhanced customer experience.
To keep the motivational standards of team high at all times.
To plan & monitor deployment of GDAs & Housekeeping staff
To ensure quality standards of cleanliness of entire premises
To ensure grooming & hygiene standards of all staff
To indent and ensure availability of linen, uniforms, stationary and other

non-medical supplies

To maintain inventory of linen, uniforms , other supplies and discards.
To ensure adherence to linen/uniform specifications.
To observe all rules and procedures in respect of Hygiene, Health and Safety and Fire Prevention.
To be responsible for:Customer amenities,Interior decoration,Laundry/Linen,Pest control,Waste Management
To allocate duties to Housekeeping staff & GDAs
To inspect & audit Vendors to ensure standards of hygiene, cleanliness & Maintenance are met.
To provide Training to all Housekeeping staff & GDAs
To make Budgets for HK Dept.
To track Expenses and Control Costs
To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area
To Comply with patient safety policy
To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.
