Job summary

Kongsberg Automotive in Faridabad, India, seeks a seasoned Maintenance Specialist to support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime and maintaining safety and ISO compliance.

You will supervise technicians and plan preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and drive cost control while ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and safety standards. Fluency in Hindi and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance schedules.

• Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently, with ISO compliance.
• Coordinate with production to reduce downtime and improve quality.

About the Position

The Maintenance Specialist supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. The role involves supervising maintenance teams, planning preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing preventive, predictive, corrective & overhauling maintenance schedules.
• Supervise maintenance staff (technicians, electricians, mechanics, etc.)
• Ensure all machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate with production/operations teams to reduce downtime & improve the product quality.
• Monitor and control maintenance costs and spare parts inventory.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation as per ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949:2016 standards.
• Having experience of troubleshooting & maintenance of Injection molding machine, SPM, Robots, (Fanuc & Epson) Load testing machine, Extrusion line & braiding machines etc.
• Having experience of maintenance of utility equipment (DG, Air compressor, Chiller, Transformer, HT & LT panels, UPS, Fire alarm system etc.)
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations as per standard of ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018.
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery.
• Ensuring all safety protocols is followed and carried out correctly (LOTO).
• Root cause analysis/fault finding on a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Carrying out efficient, effective, and safe repairs to machinery/plant to maximise uptime.

Working in a team environment and is also capable of working independently

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in maintenance (manufacturing/plant preferred).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (VFD, sensors, actuators, PID controllers, hydraulics & pneumatic system etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & communication, Mechatronics or related engineering field.
• Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems.
• Having exposures of Mitsubishi & Delta PLCs & HMIs.
• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
