Job summary

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering is seeking an Assistant Manager - Maintenance to lead electrical and automation maintenance, troubleshoot PLC/CNC and robotic systems, and ensure reliable production operations.

The role covers preventive and breakdown maintenance, root cause analysis, and coordination with vendors, with a focus on quality systems and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or graduate in Electrical Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of quality systems and driving precision in hydraulics components.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in PLC systems, CNC machines, robotic cells, servo drives, VFDs, and HMIs.
• Ensure smooth operation of industrial robots for welding, material handling and assembly.
• Diagnose and rectify control panel issues including I/O faults, communication errors and safety interlocks.
• Perform online troubleshooting, program backups, and minor logic modifications where required.
• Electrical maintenance and support for CNC machines (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
• Support commissioning, calibration and troubleshooting of robotic systems and safety circuits.
• Monitor and maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, MCCs, and earthing systems.
• Lead and guide shift manpower during breakdowns.
• Coordinate with vendors for spares, AMC activities and technical support.
• Maintain electrical drawings, PLC backups, robot programs, and technical documentation.
• Prepare breakdown analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and maintenance reports.
• Support internal and external audits such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Candidate Profile

• Support internal and external audits IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, CNC machines, and Robotic systems
• Hands‑on experience with drives, servo motors, HMIs, sensors, and field instruments
• Electrical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure during breakdown situations
