Job summary

Siemens Limited: Smart Infrastructure seeks an experienced maintenance engineer with 8–10 years in Low Voltage Products manufacturing to oversee upkeep of production equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, and effective use of CMMS.

The candidate should have ITI Electrical or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across teams on-site at our facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensures adherence to maintenance processes and performance targets.
• Coordinates and monitors maintenance procedures.

• Maintains semi-plant equipment and onsite installations.
• Dismantles, repairs, and sets up equipment as needed.
• Analyzes machine functionality and recommends parts to restore performance.
• Supports installation projects onsite and assists Industrial Engineers.
• Maintains technical documentation for processes and equipment.
• Utilizes CMMS for maintenance data review and analysis.
• Implements preventive/predictive maintenance plans to reduce emergencies.
• Communicates with maintenance and cross-functional teams; may cross-train in other areas.

What are my responsibilities?

• Ensures adherence to agreed processes and procedures in maintenance and ensures achievement of agreed performance standards.
• Coordinates and monitors maintenance procedures.
• Plans resources and executes routine maintenance projects.
• Responsible for maintenance of semi-plant equipment.
• Coordinates operational processes and leads employees in the team assigned.
• If required dismantles, repairs, assembles, installs, and sets up technical equipment and machines used in a production site.
• Analyze basic functionality of machines and recommend rebuild/replacement parts to return to good performance.
• Supplies to installation projects on site and support accountable Industrial Engineers.
• Supports maintenance of technical documentations of processes and equipment.
• May advise junior staff technically.
• May maintain various types of equipment.
• Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance or Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts.
• Utilization of CMMS to review and analyze maintenance data.
• Utilization of problem-solving tools and troubleshooting skills to identify root cause of machine issues.
• Develop appropriate preventive and/or predictive maintenance plans to reduce emergency maintenance and extend overall life of machines.
• Communicate and coordinate activities within maintenance and cross-functional teams when necessary.
• Physical presence in the workplace is a crucial function.
• Implement and actively support the plant and corporate safety policies and initiatives.
• This role will be cross-trained and supplement Maintenance Supervision in different areas at times.
• Analyzes technical problems on site and completes mechanical and/or electrical repairs and work orders.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• ITI Electrical/ Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical engineering with min 8-10 years of experience.
• Experience of working in Low Voltage Products manufacturing.
• Maintenance of automation setup

Skills:

• Hands-on experience of maintenance of Special purpose machine.
• Working knowledge on lean production system, maintenance engineer or controls engineer
• Knowledge of laser marking machines, optical vision inspection, welding machines, thermal testing, magnetic testing, and injection molding machines
• Familiarity with CMMS software and other computer software as it pertains to engineering.
• Familiarity with problem solving and reliability tools such as DMAIC, PFMEA, A3, 8D Corrective Action Plans, 5 Why, Fishbone and other 6 Sigma tools.
