Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a leading API pharmaceutical manufacturing company at the Vapi location. The role requires a B.E. Mechanical and oversees plant and utility maintenance, with emphasis on preventing downtime and ensuring GMP/EHS compliance.

You will lead installation projects, manage budgets and spare parts, and coordinate across production, QA and EHS teams, driving 5S and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.E. Mechanical degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant and utility maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Manage maintenance of utilities like boilers, chillers and compressors.
• Lead installation and commissioning of new equipment and projects.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP and statutory norms.
• Maintain all maintenance documentation and SOPs.
• Handle maintenance budgeting, spares planning and cost control.
• Lead and guide the maintenance team and external vendors.
• Coordinate with production, QA, EHS and other departments.
• Drive continuous improvement, 5S and reliability initiatives.
