Job summary

Bisk Farm in India seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead reliability programs for high-volume bakery equipment, including mixers, laminators, ovens, conveyors. You will supervise a cross-functional team, manage utilities, enforce LOTO and safety, and drive cost-efficient maintenance budgets while coordinating external contractors for Capex projects.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years in maintenance within a food or CPG environment, with strong PLC, pneumatic, hydraulics, and safety expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• 4–5 years for BE/BTech and 5–8 years for Diploma in maintenance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Oversee major equipment including mixers, laminators, ovens, conveyors.
• Maintain plant utilities: boilers, compressors, HVAC, water systems.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Equipment Reliability: Design and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for specialized machinery
• Asset Scope: Manage high-capacity industrial dough mixers, automated laminators, rotary cutters, multi-zone gas/electric baking ovens, cooling conveyors, and high-speed flow-wrap packaging equipment.
• Utility Management: Maintain plant infrastructure including steam boilers, air compressors, industrial refrigeration/HVAC units, and water purification systems.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule shifts for a cross‑functional team of mechanical, electrical, and automation technicians.
• Safety Protocols: Enforce strict Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO) procedures, confined space entry permits, and use of food‑grade lubricants to prevent product contamination. [1, 2, 3]
• Financial Stewardship: Formulate and manage the annual maintenance budget with Factory Manager, focusing on cost‑optimization and spare parts inventory control.
• Vendor & Project Coordination: Manage third‑party contractors and coordinate capital expenditure (Capex) projects for new equipment installation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 4-5 years for B.E./B.Tech and 5-8 years for Dip. Engg. in Maint. Dept. in a high‑volume manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) processing.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), pneumatic systems, hydraulics, heavy industrial burners, and high‑speed sorting packaging networks.

Candidates from biscuit/bakery industry would be given preference.
