Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a seasoned Plant Engineer for their facilities in Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. The successful applicant will oversee Safety, Health, and Plant Engineering activities, ensuring up-to-date operations across all resources.

The role involves developing objectives, driving maintenance initiatives, and ensuring compliance with various standards. A B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required, along with 13 to 16 years of relevant experience.

• 13 to 16 years of experience in Plant Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Safety, Health, Environment and Plant Engineering activities.
• Develop departmental objectives / KRA for function to assign with MFG.
• Drive Preventive & Predictive maintenance.
• Improve Plant MTBF, Reduce MTTR and Break down.
• Responsible for statutory compliance requirements.
• Conservation of energy, water and driving sustainability initiatives.
• Implement & follow IRIS and ISO system procedures.
• Critical spare parts management.
• Plan & implement AMC for critical and utility equipment.
• Implement layout changes and construct all civil structures.
• Install and commission capital equipment.
• Deliver initiatives on time and within budget.

• Responsible for Safety, Health, Environment and Plant Engineering activities including all facilities in the company. Responsible for up time of all these resources.
• Develop departmental objectives / KRA for function to assign with MFG.
• Implementation of industrial excellence by involving supervisors & operators to improve continuously by implementing 5S and Autonomous maintenance.
• Responsible for driving Preventive & Predictive maintenance
• Improve Plant MTBF, Reduce MTTR and Break down
• Responsible for statutory compliance requirements.
• Conservation of energy, water and driving sustainability initiatives.
• Implement & follow IRIS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 45000 & 50001 system procedures to improve the performance.
• Critical spare parts management.
• Plan & implement AMC for critical and utility equipment.
• Implementation of layout changes.
• Construction and maintenance of all civil structures within the estate.
• Responsible for installation and commissioning of capital equipments
• Deliver a high-quality initiative, on time and within the budget.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E EEE with 13 to16 years of experience in Plant Engineering.
