Job summary

Brakes India is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability of CNC machines, PLC-controlled equipment, electrical systems and the manufacturing IT backbone.

You will troubleshoot Fanuc/Siemens CNCs, diagnose servo drives, modify PLCs, and support SCADA/HMI, VFDs and industrial networks. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, root cause analysis and Kaizen participation.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of CNC/automation maintenance experience.
• Experience with Fanuc and Siemens CNC controls.
• Knowledge of PLC programming with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi and Delta PLCs.
• Experience with SCADA, HMI, sensors, encoders and industrial networks.
• Awareness of safety practices and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines, SPMs and automated equipment.
• Diagnose issues in Fanuc and Siemens CNC controls, servo drives and spindle systems.
• Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs involving Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi and Delta PLCs.
• Work with HMI, SCADA systems, VFDs, sensors and encoders.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain LT panels, power and control circuits, transformers and UPS.
• Support industrial PCs, machine networking and MES integration.
• Participate in Kaizen, TPM and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Ensure electrical safety and safe maintenance practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines, SPMs and automated equipment.
• Diagnose issues in Fanuc and Siemens CNC controls, servo drives and spindle systems.
• Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs involving Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi and Delta PLCs.
• Work with HMI, SCADA, VFDs, sensors, encoders, servo drives and industrial communication systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and machine downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain LT panels, power circuits, control circuits, transformers and UPS systems.
• Support industrial PCs, machine networking, SQL Server, MES integration and manufacturing data backup.
• Participate in Kaizen, TPM, OEE improvement, automation and digitalization initiatives.
• Ensure electrical safety, LOTO compliance and safe maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors and maintain critical spare availability.

Preferred candidate profile

4 to 10 years of experience in CNC machine and automation equipment maintenance
