Job summary

JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled GA Shop Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation of conveyors, testers, AGV, and robotic line equipment. You will work hands-on with AB PLC/HMI, Fanuc robots, and DC tools, maintaining preventive maintenance schedules and driving uptime.

Qualifications

• Experience with GA shop equipment and testing lines.
• Hands-on maintenance of automation and robotics systems.
• Ability to work in shift and meet KPIs.
• Troubleshooting of electrical and control circuits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GA shop process equipment to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans for equipment assets.
• Identify spare parts and manage spares inventory for GA shop.
• Train maintenance staff and associates on critical skills.
• Drive Kaizen improvements in GA maintenance to improve uptime, quality and cost.
• Troubleshoot equipment and control systems with minimal supervision.
• Manage departmental KPIs and ensure timely closure of maintenance activities.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Should be well acquainted with GA shop process equipment consisting of Conveyors, EMS system, Friction Drive, AGV, Robotic sealing/glueing, AC gas/Brake oil/coolant Filling machines, Tester line equipment (Wheel alignment, Dynamic vehicle testing, Emission testing, laser marking, etc.)
• Should have hands on experience with AB PLC/HMI, Fanuc robot, Atlas copco/Cleco DC tools.
• Experience with battery assembly shop equipment like, Electrical insulation testing machines, Battery charging and discharging machines, MES integration etc.
• Develop the Preventive & Predictive Maintenance technique for ensuring the reliability GA shop equipment.
• Identification & ordering of the GA shop spares.
• Develop the skill of GA Maintenance manpower through training
• Identify the improvement opportunities in improving the Equipment uptime, Cost, Quality & drive the Kaizen culture in GA maintenance.
• Critical thinking with exceptional Problem-Solving skills, able to work independently and in team environments.
• Identify, Manage and Maintain Equipment spare parts matrix.
• Responsible for handling shift independently of GA shop and trouble-shooting the equipment.
• Responsible to achieve departmental KPIs.
• Training of the manpower Engineers & Associates on the critical skills for effective performance on the shop floor.
• Issuance of Spare part of any value from store.
• Spare Ordering confirmation for any value against approved SA.
• Maintenance Plans Approval
• Verification & Clearance of commercial bills of respective area.
• Leave Approval of JE & Associates of respective area.
• Should be well aware with the Functioning & maintenance of the GA shop Process & Tester Line Equipment including floor & overhead Conveyors.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial design.
• Debugging on the controls & electrical circuit with no additional support
