Job summary

ITC is seeking a Packing Executive to ensure reliable operation, maintenance and performance improvement of all packing machines within the plant in Karnataka. The role requires strong technical competency, maintenance knowledge and the ability to guide and develop technician/operators.

Responsibilities include routine and breakdown maintenance, changeovers, preventive/predictive/annual maintenance, spare parts handling, and reducing downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong technical competency in packing machinery maintenance.
• Ability to guide and develop technicians/operators.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Familiarity with Omori, flow wrap, Bosch and Unipack packing machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on packing machines with strong practical skills.
• Execute changeovers / startups; variety, SKUs changeovers and settings.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and annual maintenance activities.
• Handle spare parts of packing machine, coders, check weighers and associated equipment.
• Work on reducing laminate wastage and reducing equipment downtime, support modifications and improvements to packing machines.
• Maintain and operate coders, printers and check weighers.
• Should be familiar with Omori, flow wrap, Bosch and Unipack packing machines; preferable with Ishida/Bizerba check weighers and printers & coders (Markem/Domino/Control Print).
• Guide technicians and support skill development, train operators towards technician level.
• Documentation: keep records, maintenance histories for all packing machines, coders and check weighers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on packing machines with strong practical skills
2. Execute changeovers /startups Variety, Skus changeovers and settings
3. Plan and execute Preventive, Predictive and Annual maintenance activities
4. Handle spare parts of packing machine, coders, check weighers and associated equipments
5. Work on reducing laminate wastage and reducing equipment downtime, support in modifications, fabrications and improvement job on the packing machines
6. Maintain and operate coders, printers and check weighers
7. Should be Familiar with Omori, flow wrap, Bosch and Unipack Packing machines, advantage if familiar with Ishida/Bizerba check weighers and Printers & Coders - Markem/Domino/Control Print
8. Guide technician and support in their skill development, train operators and help them to move towards technician level
9. Documentation part – Keep all records, maintenance records and history cards for all packing machines, coders and check weighers

Working Knowledge on Horizontal Packing Machines.
