Job summary

Patanjali Foods Limited in India is seeking a packing operations professional to plan and supervise daily/shift packing schedules. You will monitor lines, machines, sealing, coding, labeling, and packaging material to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires strong FMCG packing knowledge and hands-on trouble-shooting with PLC/VFD equipment. You will coordinate with production, quality, maintenance and dispatch teams, drive 5S, safety and CAPA actions, and participate in audits.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Food Technology or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG packing operations and edible oil packaging.
• Working knowledge of PLC/VFD-based packing equipment and basic troubleshooting.
• Good analytical, leadership, communication and team-management skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily and shift-wise packing schedules as per production and dispatch requirements.
• Monitor packing lines, filling machines, sealing systems, coding/printing, labelling and secondary packaging.
• Ensure correct SKU, pack size, batch coding, MRP, manufacturing date and packaging material at every line.
• Maintain packing efficiency, line productivity, OEE and control changeover time.
• Monitor packing material consumption and minimize material wastage, oil leakage, under/over filling and rework.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Warehouse and Dispatch teams for smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, statutory and company requirements.
• Drive 5S, housekeeping, workplace safety, near-miss reporting and corrective actions.
• Analyze downtime and recurring machine issues and coordinate preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Verify production reports, SAP entries, packing reconciliation and shift handover records.
• Train and develop supervisors, operators and contract manpower on SOPs, safety and quality requirements.
• Support internal/customer audits and ensure timely closure of observations and CAPA.
