Job summary

Ace Recruitment Placement Consultants is seeking a Maintenance Lead for FMCG plant operations in Gujarat. The role focuses on leading preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment to maximize production uptime and efficiency.

You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, SOPs, and manage external contractors while ensuring GMP compliance and safety. The ideal candidate has experience in FMCG maintenance and strong team leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of FMCG plant equipment.
• Knowledge of GMP and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Ensure maximum uptime and availability of production and packaging equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and SOPs.
• Handle maintenance of process equipment, filling/packing machines, pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, boilers, chillers and other utilities.
• Monitor breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain MTBF, MTTR, downtime and maintenance cost reports.
• Plan and maintain adequate inventory of critical spare parts.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Projects and other departments for smooth plant operations.
• Manage external contractors and service providers for maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Lead installation, commissioning and modification of new machinery and equipment.
• Drive energy-saving initiatives and reduce maintenance and utility costs.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history and documentation.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team and ensure proper allocation of manpower.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures during maintenance and breakdown activities.
