Job summary

Endurance Technologies in Vallam, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Executive to ensure efficient, safe, and uninterrupted operation of HPDC machines through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.

You will inspect clamping units, injection systems, hydraulic systems and related equipment, monitor performance, and drive reliability improvements while following safety standards and TPM/ISO guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 6–10 years of HPDC maintenance experience in automotive or aluminum die casting industries

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service HPDC machines with preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Attend breakdowns promptly and perform root cause analysis.
• Execute PM schedules and monitor condition for wear, vibration, leakage and abnormal noise.
• Ensure plant safety standards and 5S in maintenance areas.
• Maintain maintenance logs, spares usage, and downtime records.

Job Purpose

To ensure efficient, safe, and uninterrupted operation of HPDC machines and related auxiliary equipment by performing preventive, breakdown, and corrective mechanical maintenance, thereby supporting production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. HPDC Machine Maintenance

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of HPDC machines
• Maintain and repair clamping units, injection systems, hydraulic systems, toggles, tie bars, plungers, shot sleeves, ejector systems, and die handling equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.

2. Breakdown Management

• Attend machine breakdowns promptly and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Implement permanent corrective actions to avoid recurrence of failures.
• Maintain breakdown history and corrective action records.

3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Execute PM schedules as per SOP and manufacturer recommendations.
• Conduct condition monitoring for wear, vibration, leakage, and abnormal noise.
• Suggest improvement actions and reliability enhancements.

4. Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Follow plant safety standards, LOTO procedures, and safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / TPM / TPM Pillar activities (as applicable).
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S in maintenance areas.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, spares consumption records, and downtime reports.
• Assist in spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor coordination.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

Experience

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in HPDC maintenance within automotive or aluminum die casting industries
  (Experience may vary based on role level)
