Job summary

UNO MINDA in Bengaluru seeks an Engineer - Maintenance to ensure reliable operation of plant machinery, automation and SPMs through preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting and spare management.

The role requires Diploma or B.E. with hands-on experience in mechanical systems, pneumatic circuits, PLC/HMI, root cause analysis and maintenance documentation. You will contribute to cost saving, safety and EMS audits while coordinating with Production, Quality and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E. in Engineering is required.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and automation.
• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance with spare management.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design study, equipment evaluation, modification with hands-on experience.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical systems, pneumatic circuits, fixtures, jigs and customized parts.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Automation and SPM machines.
• Basic PLC & HMI programming/troubleshooting.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and permanent corrective actions.
• Planning and execution of preventive maintenance and documentation.
• Spare parts planning, availability and inventory management.
• Knowledge of ISOTS / EMS audit systems and safety systems.
• Identify power-saving, cost-saving and quality-improvement initiatives.

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure reliable operation of plant machinery, Automation and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) through effective preventive/breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, spare management and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanical design study, equipment evaluation, modification and correction with hands-on experience.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical systems, pneumatic circuits, fixtures, jigs and customized parts.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Automation and SPM machines.
• Basic PLC & HMI programming/troubleshooting.
• Breakdown analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of permanent corrective actions.
• Planning and execution of preventive maintenance and maintenance documentation.
• Spare parts planning, availability and inventory management.
• Knowledge of ISOTS / EMS audit systems and safety systems.
• Identify and implement power-saving, cost-saving and quality-improvement initiatives.
• HVAC operation and maintenance knowledge will be an added advantage.
