Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager - Maintenance to lead maintenance activities at the Igatpuri plant. You will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and drive reliability improvements across CNC machines, conveyors, and utilities.

The role requires 2–8 years of relevant experience and a BE/BTech in Electronics, with a focus on safety, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field.
• 2-8 years general work experience in maintenance roles.
• Experience with TPM/Lean and safety compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Maintain and update maintenance records and downtime reports.
• Ensure safety standards and LOTO procedures are followed during maintenance.
• Support reliability improvements and TPM activities.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Assistant Manager - Maintenance

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Maintenance Operations

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure timely restoration of equipment during breakdowns.

Equipment Reliability

• Maintain engine manufacturing machines such as CNC machines, assembly lines, conveyors, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment issues.
• Implement reliability improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities.

Planning & Documentation

• Prepare maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to PM plans.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, and downtime reports.
• Update spare parts consumption and inventory records.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
• Promote a safe working culture within the maintenance team.

Utilities & Infrastructure

• Support maintenance of utility systems including air compressors, pumps, cooling systems, DG sets, and material handling equipment.
• Monitor utility performance and coordinate repairs when required.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Cost Reduction initiatives.
• Recommend modifications to improve equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
