Job summary

Amor Management Consultants in Chennai seeks a Head Maintenance to lead all machine maintenance activities, ensuring high equipment availability and reliability. You will plan preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while driving TPM and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, expertise in injection moulding support, and extensive troubleshooting across electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics.
• Strong experience in Injection Moulding machine maintenance.
• Exposure to IATF and EHS requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to analyze breakdowns and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall machine maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.
• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Drive improvement in machine uptime and OEE.
• Analyse recurring breakdowns and implement root cause and corrective actions.
• Oversee plant utilities including compressors, chillers, DG sets and electrical panels.
• Lead installation, commissioning, relocation and validation of new machines.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, PPC, OEMs and external service providers.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Head Maintenance for a leading automotive component manufacturing company based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage overall machine maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.
• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Drive improvement in machine uptime and OEE.
• Analyse recurring breakdowns and implement root cause and corrective actions.
• Ensure availability of critical spares, tools and maintenance resources.
• Drive TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTTR, MTBF, downtime and maintenance cost.
• Manage maintenance budgets and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Oversee plant utilities including compressors, chillers, DG sets and electrical panels.
• Lead installation, commissioning, relocation and validation of new machines.
• Develop and manage the maintenance team, including training and skill development.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, EHS, IATF and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, PPC, OEMs and external service providers.
