We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain plant machinery, electrical/mechanical equipment, utilities, and other production-related systems in a chemical manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment inspection, and maintenance planning, preferably within a chemical, process, or manufacturing industry.
Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for plant machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns and ensure minimum production downtime.
Carry out regular inspection of machines, equipment, utilities, and production systems.
Identify recurring equipment problems and implement appropriate root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
Maintain maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance activities.
Coordinate with the Production Department to plan maintenance activities without affecting production.
Handle maintenance of motors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, pipelines, and other plant equipment.
For electrical maintenance, handle motors, control panels, MCC/PCC panels, electrical distribution systems, sensors, and related equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures before they result in major breakdowns.
Maintain proper records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and equipment history.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and services.
Ensure adequate availability of critical maintenance spare parts and consumables.
Support installation, commissioning, modification, and relocation of new machinery and equipment.
Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with plant safety procedures and applicable EHS requirements.
Participate in shutdown maintenance and major plant maintenance activities.
Suggest improvements for equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and reduction of maintenance costs.
Train and guide technicians and maintenance staff in proper maintenance practices.
Prepare maintenance reports and communicate major equipment issues to management.
Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, valves, bearings, pipelines, and rotating equipment.
Basic/strong knowledge of electrical systems depending on the candidate's specialization.
Understanding of P&ID, equipment drawings, electrical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
Knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment inspection methods, and spare-parts management.
Ability to identify equipment abnormalities such as vibration, overheating, leakage, unusual noise, and electrical faults.
Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, control systems, and instrumentation will be an added advantage.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance documentation.

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
Chemical/process industry experience will be preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdowns when required.
