Job summary

Sahyadri Farms requires an experienced maintenance engineer to ensure reliable operation of plant machinery and utilities. You will execute preventive maintenance schedules, attend breakdowns and coordinate with Production for shutdowns and servicing, while maintaining detailed records of PM schedules and equipment history.

The role also involves troubleshooting, ensuring spare parts availability, and complying with GMP, EHS, LOTO, and permit-to-work norms, with RCA for major breakdowns to drive

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering.
• 2 to 6 years in maintenance, preferably in food processing / FMCG / manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of plant machinery through preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and attend breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production for planned maintenance, shutdowns and equipment servicing.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and PM schedules and equipment history.
• Ensure availability of critical spares, tools and maintenance resources.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, EHS, LOTO and permit-to-work requirements.
• Conduct RCA for major/repetitive breakdowns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for maintenance and servicing activities.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Electrical: Maintenance of HT/LT systems, MCC/PCC panels, motors, VFDs, transformers, DG and electrical distribution systems.
• Mechanical: Maintenance of process machinery, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, agitators, compressors, boilers and utility equipment.
• Instrumentation: Maintenance of PLC/SCADA, sensors, transmitters, control valves, weighing systems and process instruments.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification and improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, EHS, LOTO and permit-to-work requirements.
• Conduct RCA for major/repetitive breakdowns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for maintenance and servicing activities.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering.

2 to 6 years in maintenance, preferably in food processing / FMCG / manufacturing.
