Age - 20~30 Yrs.
1. Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment by carrying out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, minimizing machine downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient maintenance activities.
2. Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and identify root causes of failures.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and quick restoration of equipment.
- Monitor equipment condition and performance.
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure timely inspection, lubrication, alignment and servicing of machinery.
- Attend emergency machine breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, mixers, reactors, pipelines, valves and other plant equipment.
- Monitor critical spare parts and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors/service providers for specialized maintenance work.
- Ensure maintenance activities follow safety procedures, LOTO and permit-to-work requirements.
- Maintain breakdown reports, preventive maintenance records and equipment history.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports.
- Maintain records of spare parts consumption and maintenance costs.
- Support ISO documentation and audits related to the Maintenance Department.
- Supervise maintenance technicians and helpers and allocate daily maintenance jobs.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Utility, Stores and other departments.
3. Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech Relevant experience in plant/machinery maintenance preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing/chemical/process industry will be an advantage.
4. Required Skills
- Mechanical troubleshooting.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, compressors, valves and rotating equipment.
- Maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Team handling and coordination.
- MS Office/Excel and maintenance documentation.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices.

- Reduction in machine breakdowns.
- Reduction in machine downtime.
- Preventive maintenance completion percentage.
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
- Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
- Maintenance cost control.
