Job Description

Officer - Plant Maintenance is responsible for supporting preventive and corrective maintenance of plant machinery, utilities, electrical systems, and other engineering infrastructure. The includes equipment inspections, breakdown maintenance, maintenance documentation, coordination with technicians and vendors, and ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment and utilities.
• Inspect machinery and engineering systems for proper operation.
• Attend equipment breakdowns and perform troubleshooting within technical scope.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utility, and other plant systems as applicable.
• Maintain preventive-maintenance schedules and service records.
• Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
• Assist in identifying recurring equipment failures and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown records, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance.
• Monitor availability of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance consumables.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of plant equipment.
• Assist with equipment qualification and validation activities where applicable.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety and GMP requirements.
• Inspect utility systems and report abnormalities.
• Support maintenance of compressors, pumps, generators, HVAC, water systems, and other utilities as applicable.
• Report major equipment faults and safety risks to the appropriate authority.
• Support energy-efficiency and preventive-maintenance initiatives.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and engineering compliance activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions in maintenance areas.
