Job summary

Rama Medicare seeks an experienced Civil Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities across the campus and buildings. You will inspect facilities, identify civil works issues, prepare estimates and schedules, and supervise contractors to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Biomedical teams, maintaining records, and ensuring safety and proper maintenance practices in a large institutional setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering with relevant experience in civil maintenance.
• 38 years of experience in building/facility maintenance.
• Experience in hospital, medical college, university, school, hotel, residential complex, commercial building or large institutional facility.
• Strong hands-on experience in civil repair, renovation, waterproofing, plastering, masonry, flooring, tiling, painting and roofing works.
• Contractor/vendor management and site supervision.
• Good knowledge of BOQ, estimation, measurements, material planning and work execution.
• Ability to independently handle day-to-day maintenance complaints and emergency repair requirements.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel and maintenance documentation.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving and team management skills.
• Proactive, disciplined and willing to work in a 247 institutional/hospital environment, including urgent maintenance situations.

• Identify issues related to civil works, seepage, leakage, cracks, plaster, flooring, painting, doors, windows, ceilings, masonry and roofing.
• Prepare estimates, material requirements and work schedules for civil maintenance jobs.
• Supervise contractors, technicians and workers and ensure work is completed as per required quality standards.
• Monitor repair, renovation, alteration and construction-related works.
• Ensure proper execution of masonry, plastering, tiling, flooring, painting, waterproofing and other civil works.
• Coordinate with Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Biomedical and other engineering teams wherever civil work interfaces with their activities.
• Conduct regular rounds and preventive inspections to identify potential maintenance issues before they become major problems.
• Maintain records of maintenance complaints, work orders, materials used and completed jobs.
• Verify contractor work and assist in measurement and certification of completed works.
• Ensure availability and proper utilization of civil maintenance materials and tools.
• Monitor adherence to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and work standards.
• Coordinate with external agencies, contractors and vendors for specialized civil works.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and institutional maintenance standards.
• Attend emergency civil maintenance requirements, particularly those affecting patient care, staff, students or critical facilities.
• Support facility expansion, renovation and infrastructure improvement projects as required.
• Maintain proper documentation, maintenance reports and daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping of work areas after completion of maintenance activities.
