Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and
maintaining civil infrastructure within the educational institution. The role ensures that all construction, renovation, and maintenance works meet safety standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning & Design
- Prepare and review civil drawings, layouts, and project plans.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors for design approvals.
- Ensure optimal space utilization for classrooms, labs, hostels, and other facilities.
2. Project Execution
- Supervise construction, renovation, and expansion projects within campus.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings and specifications.
3. Maintenance & Repairs
- Oversee routine maintenance of buildings, classrooms, roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
- Identify structural issues and ensure timely repairs.
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules and activities.
4. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Identify and onboard contractors/vendors for civil works.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to contracts.
- Verify bills, measurements, and work completion reports.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations, safety norms, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure fire safety, structural stability, and disaster preparedness measures are in place.
6. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare project cost estimates and budgets.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost efficiency.
- Approve material usage and prevent wastage.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, approvals, and reports.
- Submit periodic progress reports to management.
- Keep records of AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and infrastructure audits.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech – Civil)
- Master’s degree (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in civil construction/maintenance
- Experience in educational institutions, campuses, or large facilities
preferred
