Job summary

Ozone Procon in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to design and execute preventive maintenance schedules for Namkeen plant machinery (fryers, extruders, seasoning drums, mixers, conveyors, and packaging units).

You will inspect electrical panels, motors, pumps, and drives; perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence; reduce downtime to boost overall equipment effectiveness (OEE); maintain spare parts stocks; coordinate with procurement; and ensure compliance with

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for Namkeen plant machinery.
• Conduct inspections of electrical panels, motors, pumps, drives, and pneumatics.
• Perform root-cause analysis of breakdowns to prevent recurrence.
• Reduce downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Maintain spare parts stock, and coordinate with procurement for parts.
• Ensure maintenance complies with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP and safety protocols.
• Keep clean, safe work conditions and detailed maintenance logs and equipment histories.
• Report equipment health and maintenance metrics to Plant Head / Engineering Manager.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Design, execute, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules for all Namkeen plant machinery (fryers, extruders, seasoning drums, mixing machines, conveyers, and automated packaging units).

Conduct periodic inspections of critical components, electrical panels, motors, pumps, drives, and pneumatics.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of mechanical/electrical breakdowns to prevent recurrence.

Reduce machine downtime and ensure maximum overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Maintain optimal stock levels of critical spare parts, lubricants, and tools to ensure uninterrupted maintenance operations.

Work closely with procurement for vendor management and ordering required replacement parts.

Ensure all maintenance operations adhere to food safety standards (FSSAI, GMP, HACCP) and workplace safety protocols.

Maintain clean, hygienic, and safe working conditions during maintenance activities.

Maintain complete records of maintenance logs, equipment histories, downtime reports, and spare part consumption.

Report regularly to the Plant Head / Engineering Manager on equipment health and maintenance metrics.
