Multigrain Food Pvt Ltd (Atul Bakery Pvt Ltd) seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical to ensure reliable operation of plant machinery, utilities, and mechanical systems. You will handle preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and drive continuous improvements.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience and a diploma/degree in mechanical engineering. Applicants should be able to work in shifts and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in FMCG/industrial manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, panels, hydraulics/pneumatics, valves, and piping.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures to minimize downtime.
• Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and records.
• Coordinate with production to ensure timely maintenance activities.
• Supervise technicians and contractors during repair work.

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of plant machinery, equipment, utilities, and mechanical systems. The candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment improvement, and maintaining safe working conditions.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, Panels, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, valves, and other rotating and static equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures to minimize downtime.
• Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure timely maintenance activities.
• Supervise technicians, contractors, and maintenance workers during repair and maintenance jobs.
• Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, inspection, and servicing of machinery.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain adequate spare parts, tools, and consumables for maintenance activities.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of mechanical equipment.
• Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Maintain maintenance reports, breakdown reports, equipment history, and other documentation.
• Support energy-saving, cost-reduction, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and industrial equipment.
• Good understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, valves, and piping systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and basic P&ID drawings.
• Good troubleshooting, Problem-solving, team management and Communication skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and spare-parts management.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office/Excel and maintenance management software is preferred.
• Good communication and team-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle breakdown situations under pressure and willingness to work in shifts or during emergency breakdowns when required.

Qualification & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may be considered based on experience.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/FMCG/automobile/chemical/pharmaceutical or similar industries will be an advantage.
