Job summary

Wabtec in Tamil Nadu seeks a Plant Engineering leader with 10–13 years of experience to oversee Safety, Health, Environment and Plant Engineering activities across all facilities. You will ensure up-time of resources and drive maintenance strategies in a large manufacturing setting.

You will develop KRAs, lead 5S and autonomous maintenance initiatives, manage spare parts and capital projects, ensure ISO IRIS and related standards compliance, and pursue energy and water conservation.

Qualifications

• B.E. – Mechanical degree.
• 10–13 years of Plant Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Safety, Health, Environment and Plant Engineering activities for all facilities, ensuring up-time of resources.
• Develop departmental objectives / KRAs for the function in collaboration with MFG.
• Drive 5S and Autonomous maintenance initiatives and involve supervisors and operators.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Improve MTBF, reduce MTTR and breakdowns.
• Ensure statutory compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Conserve energy and water; drive sustainability initiatives.
• Implement and follow IRIS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 45000 & 50001 systems.
• Manage critical spare parts; plan AMC for critical and utility equipment.
• Implement layout changes and oversee civil structures maintenance.
• Install and commission capital equipment.
• Deliver high-quality initiatives on time and within budget.

• Implementation of industrial excellence by involving supervisors & operators to improve continuously by implementing 5S and Autonomous maintenance.
• Responsible for driving Preventive & Predictive maintenance
• Improve Plant MTBF, Reduce MTTR and Break down
• Responsible for statutory compliance requirements.
• Conservation of energy, water and driving sustainability initiatives.
• Implement & follow IRIS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 45000 & 50001 system procedures to improve the performance.
• Critical spare parts management.
• Plan & implement AMC for critical and utility equipment.
• Implementation of layout changes.
• Construction and maintenance of all civil structures within the estate.
• Responsible for installation and commissioning of capital equipments
• Deliver a high-quality initiative, on time and within the budget.

Qualifications:

• B.E – Mechanical with 10 to13 years of experience in Plant Engineering.
