Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Chennai is seeking a skilled mainframe and distributed applications support professional. You will handle IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, and DB2 with knowledge of ITIL processes and modern monitoring tools.

You will also work with middleware, cloud technologies, and scripting to ensure high availability. The role requires strong problem solving and collaboration across multiple environments during production support.

Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
• Hands-on distributed application production support (Unix/Linux/Windows)
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, Easytrieve, SORT
• Experience with DB2, CICS, IMS
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools (CA-7, Control-M, TWS/OPC)
• Experience using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Thousand Eyes)
• Strong ITIL incident, problem, change management skills
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and alerting tools

Responsibilities

• Role & responsibilities are to manage and support mainframe and distributed applications
• Handle incident and problem management with ITIL best practices
• Coordinate change management and scheduling across platforms
• Analyze logs and monitor performance to ensure high availability
• Collaborate with middleware, cloud, and scripting teams as needed
