Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad/ Chennai seeks an experienced Mainframe Batch Scheduling specialist to monitor and manage batch job execution in production environments.

You will troubleshoot failures, perform reruns, coordinate with application and infrastructure teams, and support MoveIT and file transfer operations to ensure SLA timelines and secure transfers.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in batch scheduling and production support.
• Proficient in mainframe batch processing and dependencies.
• Familiar with MoveIT Transfer and file transfer operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage batch job execution in production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve batch job failures and dependency issues.
• Perform reruns, restarts, and recovery activities per procedures.
• Support scheduling tools: Control-M and IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS).
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.
• Ensure batch processing finishes within defined SLAs.
• Run health checks and batch monitoring activities.
• Handle MoveIT file transfers and associated failures or delays.
• Monitor secure file transfers (SFTP/FTPS) and partner onboarding.

• Mainframe Batch Scheduling Support Monitor and manage batch job execution in production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve batch job failures and dependency issues.

• Support scheduling tools such as Control-M, TWS (IBM Workload Scheduler), or equivalent.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.

• Support onboarding activities for new file transfer requests and trading partners.
• Validate successful file delivery and troubleshoot missing or delayed files.
• Monitor queues, workflows, logs, and alerts related to file transfer operations.
• Escalate critical incidents following established support procedures
