Zensar is seeking a Junior Control-M Engineer in Bengaluru to handle job scheduling, batch monitoring, and production support. You will work with Control-M scheduling tools, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure smooth batch execution in a 24x7 environment.

The role requires hands‑on experience in job scheduling, UNIX/Linux, and basic SQL for data validation, with exposure to ITIL processes and incident/change management. Flexibility for rotational shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on with Control-M job scheduling and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage batch jobs using Control-M for timely execution.
• Perform rerun, hold, free and dependency management for jobs.
• Troubleshoot job failures and scheduling conflicts in a 24x7 environment.
• Provide L2 production support and adhere to SLAs.
• Conduct RCA and preventive actions for recurring incidents.
• Coordinate with app, database and infra teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in deployment activities and batch validation.
• Maintain runbooks and SOPs for operations.
• Manage incidents, problems and changes using ServiceNow/JIRA.
• Support continuous process improvements and operational excellence.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Control-M Engineer with hands‑on experience in job scheduling, batch monitoring, and production support. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Control‑M scheduling tools, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring smooth execution of batch processes in a 24x7 support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage batch jobs using Control-M to ensure successful and timely execution.
• Perform job scheduling activities including rerun, hold, free, and dependency management.
• Troubleshoot job failures, scheduling conflicts, and batch processing issues.
• Provide L2 production support and ensure adherence to defined SLAs.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
• Coordinate with application, database, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in deployment activities and batch validation processes.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Manage incidents, problems, and change requests using ServiceNow/JIRA.
• Support operational excellence and continuous process improvements.
