Job summary

JobItUs in Maharashtra invites applications for a CNC / VMC Machine Operator/Technician with 1–5 years of hands-on experience. You will operate and monitor CNC and VMC machines, set up per drawings, and adjust tooling to meet production requirements.

The role requires a Diploma/ITI in Mechanical or Production Engineering, a good eye for precision, and willingness to work in shifts. Knowledge of gauging instruments and GD&T is a plus.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering is required.
• 1–5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine shop.
• Good knowledge of CNC/VMC operations and machining processes.
• Familiarity with GD&T is a plus.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC and VMC machines for component manufacturing.
• Set up machines according to drawings and process sheets.
• Perform tool setting, changing, and offsets.
• Inspect parts using Vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, and other instruments.
• Monitor production quality and document results.
• Coordinate with maintenance for basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain records of production, inspection, rejection, and machine usage.
• Ensure proper use of tools, fixtures and inserts; follow 5S and safety standards.

Job Opening – Machine Shop (CNC / VMC)

Position: CNC / VMC Machine Operator / Technician
Experience: 1 to 5 Years
Industry: Manufacturing / Automobile Components

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor CNC and VMC machines for component manufacturing.

• Set machines as per drawing, process sheet, and production requirements.

• Perform tool setting, tool changing, and offset adjustments.

• Check component dimensions using Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, and other measuring instruments.

• Monitor machining parameters and maintain required production quality.

• Identify machining defects and take necessary corrective actions.

• Handle basic machine troubleshooting and coordinate with the maintenance team.

• Maintain production, inspection, rejection, and machine-related records.

• Ensure proper utilization of tools, fixtures, and cutting inserts.

• Follow 5S, safety, quality standards, and production procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering.

• Experience: 1 to 5 years in CNC / VMC Machine Shop.

• Good knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations and machining processes.

• Knowledge of engineering drawings and basic GD&T will be an advantage.

• Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection.

• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to work in shifts.
